In November 2005 some of the finest musicians and artists in the world assembled at the Manchester Opera House to re-create - in full - 'Demon Days,' the award-winning album by the animated phenomenon Gorillaz. Spanning five nights, this was the very first live rendition of the record, as sanctioned by 2-D, Murdoc, Russel and Noodle themselves. This unique event featured guest appearances from Neneh Cherry, Bootie Brown, De La Soul, Ike Turner, Shaun Ryder, Roots Manuva, Martina Topley-Bird and pre-recorded contributions from MF Doom, Dennis Hopper and Ibrahim Ferrer. The entire performance was set to a backdrop of specially designed visuals and animation by Gorillaz co-collaborator Jamie Hewlett. Accompanied by an orchestra, a children's choir and the Manchester Community Gospel Choir, the results were breathtaking, an exceptional collaboration of music, film and animation that surpassed all expectations. And, y'know, it's very likely that the world will probably see nothing like this again. Well, almost definitely... at least not in Manchester.

My Review: The Gorillaz never fail to meet or exceed expectations. This show was a well orchestrated mix of both music and visuals used to bring the work of the Gorillaz to life. It was great from beginning to end.

Worst Performance: Dare (I was too busy laughing my arse off at how pissed drunk Shaun was to enjoy the song)

My Review: A real positive performance from Albarn and his crew which really rocks out all the way. The setup is very well done and the visuals compare well with the chart topper tracks

If you were there: I was. The visuals where incredible and I really enjoyed the Dirty Harry performance. The performance of Feel Good Inc. wasn't that good though. So anyway, this is probably the best live music show in history because I don't enjoy comedy.

My Review:This is my third favorite concert that i got to go to the first being the Apollo at new york concert and the second being the Forum,London concert in 2001.Overall the best concert you could go to.
